Event details

Yes, you heard right.  There is war coming and we must be ready.  Fighters and fencers, archers and throwers, even youth fighters, teachers and equestrians.  there is room and time for all. 
This a camping event with minimal off site accommodations nearby, although there is space for campers/RVs and electric hookups.
This a pet friendly site for those with well behaved animals and owners.

Teams will be randomly drawn from a hat and will be fighting in 2 v 2 Melee.  Format will be a round robin depending on number of teams top 2 teams will fight a best of 3 to decide winner

Saturday

Cloak and Dagger Melee!

It's roving bands of cut-throat hoodlums out hoodluming!  You're out walking the town with your compatriots when rivals appear!  It's time to throw down and keep your territory safe!  Wait!  The town will not let anyone carry weapons greater than a dagger in length!

All teams will be chosen by roll of the dice before the tournament.
Forms are limited to Soft Parry (Cloak) and Dagger!
All team members must have dagger authorizations!

Early rounds will be Round Robin until we have a Final Four.
Final four will be best 3 out of 5 until we have a victor!

10 am- 11:30
Swiss Points-Style Tournament:  Shieldbiter Kara Njalsdottir

Tournament will be 4-6 Rounds of fighting(dependent on number of entrants and time frame).  Bring any form you'd like, not C&T.

Each pairing will complete 3 bouts, refighting doubles until clean.  Your number of wins will translate into points per pairing.  Yes, you will fight all three bouts, even if one fighter wins the first two.

2 / 3 wins :  7 points
3 / 3 wins :  10 points.

Both combatants will report all results directly to the MOL.

At the end of the 4-6 Rounds, the top 8 competitors will compete in a *single*-elimination bracket.

Single-elimination:
Pairings will fight best 2/3.  Refighting doubles until clean.

Final winner will receive a prize!  (TBD)"

3:30-4:30 PM
Melee:  Castle/City Watch Battle
60 Minute Scenario (2, 30-min unlimited resurrection battles)

Five buildings (four out buildings with two doors oriented North/South, central building with four) each containing a “keg”.

Attackers (city watch) start in castle and enter town and attempt to capture kegs from defenders

Kegs may be captured by four attackers and carried back into the castle.  Attackers must have an empty hand to carry a keg.

Defenders may not move a keg once it has been picked up, but may kill attackers carrying kegs.

Run twice with each side attacking/defending once.

Scenario ends when all kegs are returned to castle OR 30 minutes has elapsed.

11:30-12:30 Short but deadly- literally!  Fencers over 5’5 must either kneel or sit during passes- Hosted by Brigid

Directions:

Please read these directions and DO NOT rely on GPS only:  Our Entrance is GATE C - SCA signs will be posted
If you are coming from the East:
your turn into the fairgrounds is a Right on Schuylerville Rd which is just before the Fairgrounds sign and then a Left at Gate C

From north or south Take your best route to I-87.
From the North:
take exit 15 (NY 50) toward Schuylerville.  Left at the end of the ramp on NY50/NY-29.
Bear right onto Loudon Rd.
continue 0,2 miles turn Right onto Weibel Rd.
after 0.9 miles turn Left onto Lake Ave and stay on Rte 29
**Right turn on Broadway
Left on Ferry St - cross canal and river
Pass the Fairgrounds on your left and Turn Left onto Schuylerville Road
Take the 2nd left marked GATE C.

From the South:
Take exit 14 (NY 9P) toward Saratoga Springs/Schuylerville/NY29 and merge onto 9P/ Union Ave toward Saratoga for 0.5 miles
Turn R onto Henning Rd for 0.8 miles
Turn R onto Lake St (NY-29)
9 miles and then Follow from ** above

A PayPal invoice will be generated within 24 to 48 hours of the online pre-registration survey being submitted.  Online pre-registration is not complete until the PayPal invoice has been paid.  June 21, 2025 is the final date for PayPal pre-registration.
This survey does ask for membership information but you will still need to provide proof of membership at the event. 

PRE-REGISTRATION by mail is also an option.  Deadline postmarked by 6/21/25

No feast or dayboard.  On site food vendors will be available for breakfast and lunch, so please plan accordingly.
