The Earl Horic Memorial East Kingdom Armored Champions Tournament

The wheel turns, the sun rises and sets, after much dedicated service, the time has come for our current armored champions to rest.  Before they can do so, new champions must be found.  The gauntlet has been thrown, who will answer the call? Who will bear witness to the day?

The Shire of Eisental is honored to host The Earl Horic Memorial East Kingdom Armored Champions Tournament on May 17th, 2025 at the Schuylkill County Fairgrounds in Schuylkill Haven PA. 

List will open at 10am for authorizations and tournament registration and close at 11:30am.  Combat will commence at noon!

Tournament Format:

Entrants will be divided into Round Robin Pools number of pools will be dependent upon the number of entrants.  The top scores will advance to the double elimination, the exact number of fighters advancing will be determined by the number of pools to give us a 16-person double elimination. 

The initial pairing for the Double Elimination will be challenge in, reverse order of precedence meaning the combatant with the lowest precedence goes first.  The Semi Finals are best of 3 Rotating forms non repeating, fighter out of the loser list needs to win twice, winner need only to win once.  (Round 1 is best then rotation).  Finals are best of 7, rotating weapon forms non repeating.  (Round 1 is Great sword, 7th is best).

Fencing: 
While there will be no official Rapier activities, there will be space for pickups for those who wish to bring their gear. 

Schedule: 
- 9 am:  Gate Opens
- 10 am:  Lists Open for Authorizations and Tournament Registration
- 11:30 am:  Tournament Registration Closes
- 12 Noon:  Combat Begins (Fencing List Opens for Pickups)
- 5 pm:  Court (Tournament Willing)
- 7 pm:  Site Closes

Site Rules: 
- No Smoking except in designated smoking areas
- Site is Discreetly Damp
- Tractor Pull Track is OFF LIMITS!  This is located to the right of the Ag Museum building, next to the parking area, it is away from the event itself.  Please do not go near it or on it. 
- Handicap Parking is along the right side of the Main Hall, "Indoor Midway"
- You may take your car down to drop gear off before parking.  Please follow the designated traffic pattern.
